Moen has successfully settled two lawsuits with major companies: PepsiCo: General Patent Corporation International (GPCI) brought suit against PepsiCo on behalf of Moen Technologies on December 24, 2003, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, alleging an infringement of one of its patents. In May 2004, PepsiCo ultimately agreed to take a license under the patent-in-suit and two other related patents. Coca-Cola: GPCI brought suit, on behalf of Moen Technologies, against Coca Cola in December of 2002, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Coca Cola ultimately agreed to take a license under the patents, settling the lawsuit with Moen in September 2003. |
